O tão ansiado concerto dos Depeche Mode, que ia acontecer amanhã no Porto, foi cancelado depois do vocalista da banda, Dave Gahan, ter sofrido uma lesão no músculo da perna que o impede de continuar a tournée europeia. Este era um dos concertos mais esperados do ano em Portugal, e era também a coqueluche do cartaz do Super Bock Super Rock deste ano. Na sequência do cancelamento as bandas portuguesas Xutos e Pontapés e The Gift juntam-se assim ao cartaz, devendo a banda de Tim e Zé Pedro encerrar o festival. DEPECHE MODE SHOWS CANCELLED – DAVE GAHAN INJURES LEG
Depeche Mode regret to announce that the following performances will be cancelled due to a calf muscle tear Dave Gahan suffered during the band’s show in Bilbao on July 9th.
* Saturday, July 11th at Super Bock Super Rock Festival in Porto
* Sunday, July 12th at Olympic Stadium, Seville
Dave Gahan has been instructed by doctors to stay off his injured leg in order for it to heal and to prevent any further injury. Dave will be unable to perform during this recovery period and he and the Band regret that they must cancel these final two shows of their European tour.
Depeche Mode apologize to their fans for these cancellations.
